  • Do I have to pay to attend the Innovation Summit?
    Yes, this year this a charge of $25.00 to attend select events which include: the Opening Ceremony, Panel Discussion and Breakout Sessions. All other events are free and open to the public.
  • Are there specific networking events?
    Our main networking event is on Friday, 15 November at Pelican Bay immediately following the Innovation Awards. The networking event begins at 8pm. We encourage you to also attend the Innovation Awards. Both events are free.
  • Will there be Q&A during the sessions?
    All panel and breakout sessions have a Q&A component.
  • Is there a schedule for the two-days?
    Yes, you can access the schedule here.
  • Will I be able to register and pay the day of the summit?
    Registration tables will be at the Innovation Award on Friday, 15 November from 6:00pm - 8:00pm. Final registration will be available on Saturday, 16 November from 9:00am - 10:30am.
  • Where can I find the exhibit hall and do I have to pay to enter?
    The vendor exhibits are free and open to the public. They will be located in Salon I & II.
  • How do I pay to attend the summit?
    Once you have completed the registration form, you will receive a ticket that says unpaid. You can pay for this ticket online via the link in the confirmation email or in person at our Finance Office on West Atlantic Drive, 2nd floor, Teacher's Credit Union Building.
  • Will there be a live stream or virtual option for sessions?
    At this time the summit is fully in-person.
  • Will there by a follow-up or feedback survey?
    Yes, we encourage all attendees to participate in our feedback survey. Participants will also have an opportunity to win a prize.
  • Are meals included with the summit?
    Meals are not included with the summit. Those attending the opening ceremony will have access to a continental breakfast along with hot beverages. However, there are many nearby restaurants in the Port Lucaya area.
  • I do not have a business but have some ideas I would like to explore; can I get any support from the UB-IGNITE team?
    Yes, you can. At UB-IGNITE we tailor our services to each individual’s needs. If you have an idea or a business, we will be happy to help you achieve your vision. Please sign up here.
  • I am not based in Grand Bahama; can I still access any of the provisions of the UB-IGNITE programme?
    Yes, you can. Please fill in the form here to get started.
  • I have completed the 4-month incubator programme, can I access any further support?
    Yes, you can. You are now part of the UB-IGNITE family, please contact the UB IGNITE team to find out more information: ubnignite@ub.edu.bs or call 727-3962.
  • I am a freelancer, can I access UB-IGNITE business support?
    Yes, you can. Please sign up here.
  • I have completed a Business Incubator programme, will I get a Certificate?
    Well done, yes! Everyone who satisfactorily completed the Business Incubator programme will receive a certificate.
  • Do I have to pay for any of the UB-IGNITE services?
    We are delighted to say that all UB-IGNITE services are currently free of charge. Priority is given to participants from Grand Bahama and Abaco islands.
  • I am not a UB student or a graduate, can I still access UB-IGNITE business support?
    Yes, UB-IGNTE services are open to everyone, you do not have to be associated with the University of The Bahamas to access business support services or courses.
  • How can I access 1-2-1 mentoring support?
    Mentoring support is open to anyone who registered for the UB-IGNITE Business Incubator Programme.
  • I have finished the Business Bootcamp; can I access mentoring support?
    Yes, you can. Please contact UB-IGNITE team and sign up for the Business Incubator programme. Email: ubnignite@ub.edu.bs
  • I am not based in Grand Bahama, can I access UB-IGNITE courses?
    Yes, you can. Courses are open to everyone and are currently run in real time via zoom.
  • Do I have to pay to attend any of the UB-IGINTE courses?
    No, all UB-IGNITE courses are currently free of charge. However, this may change in the future, please contact the UB-IGNITE team to confirm ubnignite@ub.edu.bs or call 727-3962.
  • I have not signed up for the Business Incubator, can I still access UB-IGNITE courses?
    Yes, you do not have to complete the Business Incubator in order for you to access the courses. Courses are open to everyone.
  • I have a business partner(s), can they also attend the UB-IGNITE Programme?
    Yes, we welcome business teams to participate and all members of the management team are welcome to attend and participate in any of the UB-IGNITE service provisions.
  • I am not part of the UB-IGNITE programme, can I enter a pitching competition or an Innovation award?
    The Pitching Competitions are only open to those who have registered or completed the UB-IGNITE Business Incubator Programme. The Innovation Award is open to applicants from the general public. You can sign up here for the Business Incubator.
